The seminars focus on one component or one sector of society, to highlight its role and importance in the development of the Health System of Lebanon. Each seminar is chaired and moderated by a distinguished public figure, and includes 3 or 4 panelists – all members of the panel are authorities in the field. 

The objective of every seminar is to be a forum of discussion between the panelists, the Chairman and the audience. Recommendations and suggestions are expected from the interaction. The seminars last about two hours – with ample time set aside for discussion and comments. 

The first seminar was held on Monday May 27th at 6:00 pm at the Gefinor Rotana Hotel on "The Role of Academic Medical Centers in Health Development". The seminar was chaired and moderated by HE Dr Karam Karam. The four speakers were Mr John Rhoder (AUBMC-AUB), Mr Joseph Otayek (Hotel Dieu-USG), Mr Mohamad Firikh (Makassed) and Dr Imad Hage (St Georges Hospital-Balamand).  

The second seminar  on "The Role of the Media in Health Development" is planned  for Monday June 10th and will be chaired and moderated by HE Minister Marwan Hamadeh. The members of the panel are: Dr. Nabil Dajani (AUB), Mr. Nasser Safieddine (NBN TV) and Dr. Adib Farha. 

The third seminar will focus on "The Role of International Organizations in Health Development". It will be held on June 25th and will be chaired by HE Dr Adnan Mroueh. 

The fourth seminar is planned for Tuesday July 9th and will be chaired and moderated by HE Minister Basil Fuleihan. The seminar will discuss "The Role of Medical Insurance in Health Development".

- The Role of the Professional Associations in Health Development
- The Role of the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in Health

- The Role of Private Sector Investments in Health Development
- The Role of the Civil Society in Health Development
- The Role of Research in Health Development
- Technology and Health Development
- The Law and Health Development
- Women and Health Development
